Combines the Economy of the Ken-Tone tm Plate with the Technology of Your Digital Color Copier

How's it Done

  • Your Digital Color Copier Functions as Your Platemaker
  • Image your plates directly from your computer or copy from the glass in the "Black Mode" and using the Bypass Feeder set on heavy paper. If your copier is equipped with a Color Server/RIP, you can also download image files directly from your computer, using the same "Black Mode" and Bypass Feeder - heavy paper settings that you would working from the Copier console.
  • Thoroughly sensitize/etch the plate manually with a cotton pad
    ("NIKKEN PP CLEAN H" Fountain Solution/Etch recommended)
  • Mount on press and print

SPECIFICATIONS: (Based on working experience)

  1. Run Length - 5,000 + (15,000 is the record)
  2. Halftone Screen, Automatic 200 Line
  3. Any Standard Duplicator or Small Press Ink can be used
  4. "NIKKEN PP Clean H" Cyanide Free Fountain Solution/Etch is the product we recommend using with Ken-Tone TM Plates. Mix (20-30 parts water to 1 part fountain solution) with or without alcohol or alcohol substitutes.
  5. NO Additional Chemistry is Required
